Multi-element (13C, 2H and 34S) bulk and compound-specific stable isotope analysis for authentication of Allium species essential oils

چکیده

Pure and natural essential oils of Allium species are primarily used in the food industry, but due to their low yield, production quantities can be difficult achieve thus highly expensive. Due these problems, adulterations a reality this field. The purpose research is develop multi element stable isotope analysis methodology for authentication leek, onion, shallot, chive. Naturalness was achieved by assessment compound specific δ13C δ34S: an addition 5% synthetic detected. Chemometric models were undertaken assess purity distinction samples according origin using bulk δ13C, δ2H, δ34S, compositions major metabolites dipropyl disulfide, trisulfide, methyl propyl trisulfide.
